I was tryin’ to get ya to think a’ the type a’ settin’ for a ring called the cathedral settin’. That’s why I mentioned in my question the cathedral towns a’ Salisbury, Ely, an’ Siena.
I guess jewelers call the bottom part of a faceted diamond the pavilion.

Question 1
Do any a’ youse guys play that “Spellin’ Bee“ game that the New York Times does? If you’re not familiar, it’s a li’l word game where they give ya a buncha letters an’ ya gotta make as many words outta ’em as ya can. If ya use ALL the letters they give ya, it’s called a “pangram” an’ I think ya get some extra points.
The reason I bring it up is ’cause I was playin’ the Spellin’ Bee on Saturday, an’ ya can imagine my surprise when I got these letters:
N V A O L I P
The pangram word was ... PAVILION! Which, as ya might notice, was our answer to Friday’s Q2! Clearly I was operatin’ on the same wavelength as whoever’s in charge a’ the Spellin’ Bee.
Anyway, in honor a’ this li’l co-inky-dink, I’ve got a li’l anagram for ya. An’ as an added bonus, I’ll even make the anagram on-brand for those cathedrals in the towns a’ Siena ’n’ Ely ’n’ Salisbury.
So: can ya tell me the only Spellin’ Bee-approved pangram ya can make outta these letters?

Question 2
Don’t confuse Salisbury with Solsbury Hill: turns out, they’re completely different places!
I mean, they’re in neighborin’ English counties, Wiltshire ’n’ Somerset. So I guess maybe not COMPLETELY different, dependin’ on yer definition a’ “completely”. But still! For sure not the SAME place.
Anyway, who sang that song, “Solsbury Hill”? It was his first big solo single after strikin’ out from the band Genesis.
OK then
