Skeleton Trivia for Tuesday, 2025-06-03
Trivia that is almost, but not entirely, unrelated to a 2013 Joseph Gordon-Levitt romantic comedy
Hiya Skeleton Crew,
So I think the plan for this summer is I’m gonna take July off to focus on windin’ down the restaurant ’n’ really start figurin’ out this new movie theater idea. Then we’ll be back to trivias as usual for August!
Answers to Last Time
The six simple machines are the pulley, the lever, the wheel, the inclined plane, the wedge, an’ the screw.
The T in USDT standard for Tether, the stablecoin that’s got a ~$150BB market cap.
I’m realizin’ now that yesterday’s answers together read “screw Tether”, which maybe seems kinda intentional but I promise is not. I definitely don’t know enough about Tether to feel positive OR negative at it!1
Today’s Trivias
Trivia 1
I feel like now it’s time to ask ’bout prisons! I dunno why, I just looked out the window this mornin’ an’ thought to myself, “Huh, prisons! Those are a thing I could ask about.”
What New York town is home to a prison that’s been home to such notorious fellas as David Berkowitz (a.k.a. the Son a’ Sam) ’n’ Mark David Chapman (a.k.a. the guy who shot John Lennon)? That prison was also the site of a 1971 prison uprisin’ that to this day stands as the deadliest such event in U.S. history. Yikes-a-roo!!
Trivia 2
The Château de Vincennes is a medieval castle ’n’ historical prison in Paris that’s got its fair share a’ famous former occupants, includin’ the Enlightenment luminary Denis Diderot an’ literary enfant terrible Donatien Alphonse François (a.k.a. the Marquis de Sade). But it’s also famous for its architecture—in particular, its central keep:
Although I’m callin’ it a “keep”, if ya visit it they’ll typically call it by what different word, which is a 12th century French term that came from the Latin for “lordship”? This word morphed over time into somethin’ with a more underground connotation—but ya still see this term kickin’ around, ’specially if someone’s tryna conjure up a bit more more of an old-timey vibe.
OK then

I mean, maybe it’s terrible ... but also maybe it’s fine? Like, as far as crypto goes it seems like ya could prob’ly be doin’ worse than making a coin that’s stable? Stability seems good! But really the important thing is DO NOT TAKE THIS AS INVESTMENT ADVICE
